Esta situado en la cumbre de la comarca de la denominación Rivera de Duero.
Su forma es de barco, orientado norte-sur.
Disponían de un sistema para recoger y almacenar el agua de lluvia desde la torre del homenaje. Que luego almacenaban en el aljibe situado en su cara Norte.
El Castillo ahora es la sede del Museo Provincial del Vino
